Too many cooks..."Are you sure this will work?" Rebecca asked. She, Crimson, and Nightengale were around a odd machine in Kerrigan's house. "Yes, this device is something Kerrigan uses to add new features to machines and devices. I see no reason why we can't use it to make a pokeball that can capture humans." Nightengale replied. "Wow did I pick a good day to bring Carla's new inflation stuff for her to check out." Crimson laughed.
"So how does this work?" Rebecca asked as Nightengale put a few pokeballs into a small doorway in the middle of the machine. "Well, we add stuff into this hole here," Nightengale said, pointing to a hole, "And it'll add the properities or such of that into the main object. Say we added a statue into here, and a clock into the hole, the machine would add a clock to the statue."
The others nodded, and as Nightengale added in a few strands of hair, snitched from Nanami since she was one of the few normal humans they knew and the one they could access easiest, the Mi
Schoolhouse Blues"Say what!?" Kerrigan asked in surprise. Her neighbor, Nanami, had approached her with what she saw as a major problem, and had applied her own fix to it. "As I said, your daughter has never been to school has she? I took liberities to fix that problem." Nanami said, holding her fan out. "Unknown has always been home schooled, she's a bright girl." Kerrigan replied, a bit annoyed. "Then she should do fine! I pulled a few strings and got her admitted, you can thank me later." Nanami said as she walked off, oblivious to Kerrigan's objections.
"SAY WHAT!?" Unknown cried out as her mother told her of the situtation, "That nutbag DOES realize I'm not exactally 'normal' right?" "Don't worry honey, I'll get this straitened out tomorrow, but in the meantime you'll have to attend the school tomorrow, it may cause trouble if you don't." Kerrigan said, patting her daughter's sholder. "Remind me to leave a nasty surprise in that woman's mailbox." Unknown sighed. "I need you to be on yo

last week was only an aftershock
of the earthquake you were before.
this place used to vibrate
with metal strings and melodic,
testimonies to life,
emitting coffee-scented moods
and the burn of it too.
i had memorized the
sounds of silence,
i couldn't help but relish it.
no longer had i known
the sounds of folk
and scent of mocha-
you became nothing more
than an echo of the laughter
i so desperately needed to hear again.
then the echoes got louder,
bouncing ferociously off the walls
to be made manifest
i walked into your room
expecting exactly what i found-
an unmade bed,
and an empty beer
(the one that you insisted you needed
just days ago).
i pressed my nose
into the pillow
for incense and cologne and starbucks
to penetrate my mind
and thinking fervently
i already know
what a clean sheet smells like."
how strong an aftershock can be,
